SummaryThe story happened in Idaville. Leroy Brown is the son of the Chief of Police, Mr. Brown. Only his parents and teachers call him Leroy. Others call him Encyclopedia because he was like a walking encyclopedia that he filled facts into his brain. There no criminal had escaped in Idaville. Everyone thinks this is all because the ability of Mr. Brown, but actually Encyclopedia Brown is behind all this. He helps his father solve cases during dinner time on the dining table. His mother thinks he will be a detective when he grows up. Encyclopedia Brown thinks differently. He thinks he can be a detective now. He setup a detective agency in front of his garage. It was a one-person business at the beginning. Later, a smart girl, Sally Kimball, joined him as his partner. He collects 25 cents per day for a case. He solved different cases, such as the Case of the Civil War Sword and the Case of the Champion Egg Spinner.
